VIRTUS

Thank you for your interest in serving as a volunteer at Resurrection-St. Paul School.  The Archdiocese of Baltimore and Resurrection-St. Paul School have a commitment to maintaining the trust of the faithful by providing our children and youth with safe environments characterized by healthy relationships.  With our longstanding commitment in mind, all parishes and archdiocesan Catholic schools use VirtusOnline, a compliance management system that allows all parishes and schools to facilitate compliance with archdiocesan child protection requirements for all volunteers, employees, and clergy.

All those who wish to work or volunteer in our school must be appropriately screened and trained.

Registration for volunteers age 18 and over is through VIRTUS. VIRTUS is  available online at virtusonline.org. Within the registration screen, you will be asked to select a “Primary Location”. Select Resurrection-St. Paul School. You will also be asked to select a “Role”. Please select “Volunteer with Substantial Contact with Children”. Then you will be asked for a title or function, select “Parent Volunteer.” Please follow the prompts to complete your registration and criminal background check, which will include three references and the training, “Protecting God’s Children Online Awareness Session 3.2 – Baltimore”.

Your VIRTUS certification is good for five years.  At the end of that period, you will be given the opportunity to complete a renewal process and receive an updated blue card.

When volunteering for a school function, you must wear your blue VIRTUS card.  In addition, all field trip chaperones must be VIRTUS certified before signing up.

Volunteers age 14 – 17 working with children and youth must complete Worthy of The Call training and screening.  This training and screening is coordinated through Church of the Resurrection or St. Paul Catholic Church.  The volunteer must complete the following:

The volunteer must also attend Worthy of Call training at Church of the Resurrection or St. Paul Catholic Church.

Thank you for your service to our school and especially for your commitment to the children and youth.
