To help you stay on track, here’s a month-by-month guide to the RSPS admissions process for the 2026-2027 school year.
Navigating The RSPS Admissions Process: What Steps To Take and When
August
Start with a Private Tour
The first step in exploring RSPS is scheduling a private tour with our admissions team. This gives you the chance to walk our halls, meet teachers, and experience the vibrant faith-based community that makes RSPS unique.
Applications Open
Beginning August 1st, applications for the 2026-2027 school year are officially open. Be sure to apply early to secure your child’s place. Families can continue to schedule private tours with our admissions team throughout the month.
September
Visit and Explore
If you haven’t yet, September is another great time to schedule a private tour. Seeing our classrooms in action will give you insight into how RSPS fosters academic excellence and faith formation.
October
Priority Admissions Begin
October is an important month for families:
- October 1st – Priority admissions for incoming siblings opens.
- October 15th – The FACTS Grant and Aid application becomes available.
Families are encouraged to keep scheduling private tours during this time as well.
November
Open House and Priority Deadlines
- November 1st: Priority admissions for siblings closes.
- November 4th: Join us for our Fall Open House to explore RSPS and meet our community.
Private tours are still available for families who prefer a one-on-one experience.
December
Application Deadline Approaches
- December 12th: Applications and all requirements are due for the first round of admissions.
If you haven’t yet, now is the time to complete your application and take advantage of personal tours with our admissions team.
January
Assessments and Decisions
January is a big month in the admissions process:
- Kindergarten and first-grade students take the Brigance assessment.
- First-round admission decisions are sent out during Catholic Schools Week.
- January 27th is our Winter Open House giving you another chance to discover RSPS in person.
February
Enrollment Periods Open
In February, enrollment begins for both current and new students. Here are the important dates to keep in mind:
- February 4th: Enrollment opens for current students.
- February 11th: Enrollment opens for new students.
- February 18th: Enrollment closes for current students.
- February 25th: Enrollment closes for new students.
- February 28th: FACTS Grant and Aid applications are due.
Families are also welcome to continue scheduling tours during this busy month.
March
Second Round Decisions
The second round of admission decisions are announced in March. If you applied after the December deadline, you’ll hear from our team during this time.
April
- On April 21st, we welcome new families at our New Parent Information Night, a chance to meet school leaders, ask questions, and prepare for the upcoming school year.
Private tours remain available throughout the month.
May
- May 13th: Math placement testing is scheduled for students entering grades 4–8.
First tuition payments for the 2026-2027 school year are due.
June
Last Chance for Tours
As summer begins, families still considering RSPS can schedule private tours to prepare for the school year ahead.
